What is Unicode is finally rendered properly on caracolito - i have downloaded enough fonts to render ethyopian, georgian, arabic, east and south-east asian, indian and european unicode text. Hurray ;-)

Espresso machine

My krupps is almost dead, so we went to look for some replacement. Somewhere in the mall in Emmen we came across espresso specialist who showed what full automat espresso machine feels like. We were very impressed, you can get a cup of espresso with one click (isn’t that patented by amazon?) The guy also had an occasion - old machine for half price. Yeah, right ;-)
I’ve looked at Kies Keurig and found a new full automat for the same price - Saeco Cafe Grade Nero. Hopefully it’ll be here soon ;-)

I have bought 2 second hand books in De Slegte yesterday: “Existentialisme” by Hans Redeker and “A History of Western Philosophy” by Bertrand Russell (see also). So very nice to own somebody else’s books. “The history…” is full of underlining with a red ballpoint and even some notes (click to see):
“Existentialisme” is from 1949, when all of them people were still busy existing. But it still looks virgin. Not new, but untouched… Old maiden of a book.
