Yesterday we made Mexican food - tortillas with rise, beans, fake meat, vegetables, chanmpignons and guacamole. Irena and Livia arrived, as well as Svetlana - this belorussian girl from day before yesterday.

We tried to create mexican mood with Calexico but girls claimed that the music wasn't really mexican. hmm.

everybody were satisfied with quality of the food :)

yesterevening stock and me went to meet this belorussian girl i once met on-line and then had a dinner with her at cafe plein and invited her to visit our humble apartment which she promptly did. at our place we introduced her to our friends Motorpsycho, King Crimson and others.

after got back from Dutch lesson Svetlana was still there and only left like half past eleven or so. we were nice enough to invite her thursday again - for delicious tortillas that we're gonna cook together. if something will go right we'll also have ballerinas at our place, but it's not yet confirmed.

and finally this midday we went to our friend Albert with Anne and bought diverse sweets including Vlaai (according to Stock “rotterdamse excuse for a vlaai”, stock's grandfaither was vlaai baker from southern Limburg - he knows what real vlaai should be), strawberry cake, capuccino vienetto (ice cream cake), tompoesen (kind of little “pirozjennoje”), room soesjes (kind of little “zavarnoje pirozjennoje”), hippo snacks (kindersurprise for beginners - without surprise). the whole V2_ + Carlo (because he happened to be in the building) tasted and still some sweets left and now is being consummed by some delegation, including Helke Tapio Mäkelä whom i know from Canada and Sher Doruff, the woman running keystroke project in waag, Amsterdam.

saturday we went to “Kamasutra-Erotic Beurs” in Utrecht with Miekje, to continue with my birthday celebration (Miekje couldn't come friday because of work).

that was funny experience - with lots of strip-shows, lap-dancing and freaky people in strange costumes. i really liked one S.M. show with the boy enjoing all kinds of painful excersizes. even Miekje said he was funny.

friday i had a birthday party. the following friends came: Stock (well, he was there to begin with); Areesa, Gabriel (guys from the Dutch course); Maarten, Anne, Melanie, Lenno (v2_folks); Marit (Lenno's wife); Irena, Marta (ballerinas); Tom, Nanda, Moenie (folks from Eindhoven). Later Carlo came with chocolate muss made after ancient recepy he found in Portugal.

i've made fruit salad, cold-macaroni salad with vegetables and mashrooms, 2 sauces to go with tortilla chips (horse-redish/tomato sauce (also known as “chrenovaya zakuska”) and yogurt based Mystery sauce #2), Areesa made Thai chicken with champignons and we listened to our new CDs - i bought two Residents albums (third reich'nroll and escimo), but some people didn't really appreciate avantgarde music. Stock bought Zappa, Motorpsycho and King Crimson which went more smoothly :)

first part of the party went until midnight and second (Stock/Carlo/me) until 4 in the morning. it was fun.

v2_folks and carlo presented me nice Japanese photocamera, the real thing - pre-digital, with all kinds of handles and controls. later i'll put pictures on-line.

MTV-Netherlands was shooting an interview with some “net-detective” today in the lab. why here? is it the weird architecture of the lab, or weird atmosphere in the lab? i dunno…

I can win chess tiger on 4th level of difficulty - this demo version switches to 2nd level after 22 moves. but we i play on normal level it beats me very soon, much sooner then 22 moves :)

as for people, I won Jemmy twice last night, after Dutch lesson. Nadia also went to the bar, but after couple of minutes she was gone away.

just installed Chess Tiger on my palm, now will train in the train.

the whole day trying to package girotondo into autoconf/automake dressing, but feel lack of experience. but i'm getting there.
